Stanthorne

Stanthorne is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, in the north west of England, approximately 2 miles west of Middlewich. The A54 runs through the village, connecting it to the rail station of Winsford. According to the 2011 census it had a population of 153.

In the 1870's Stanthorne was described as

"a township in Davenham parish, Cheshire; 1 mile WNW of Middlewich. Acres, 1,062. Real property, £2,438. Pop., 161. Houses, 27."
