The Stadium of Fire is an annual event held in the Brigham Young University's LaVell Edwards Stadium on or very near the United States' Independence Day. It is one of the main events for the America's Freedom Festival. This patriotic extravaganza with a cast of thousands features the largest stadium fireworks show in America. It is also televised worldwide to America's troops and their families on American Forces TV, as a gift from America's Freedom Festival.
The Stadium of Fire was created by Merrill Osmond & Alan Osmond in 1980 and has become one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in the United States. The 2012 headline act will be the reunion of Brian Wilson and the rest of the Beach Boys, who have not performed together for more than two decades. Headlining 2011's Stadium of Fire was country music singer Brad Paisley, with American Idol season 7 runner-up David Archuleta. Also included in this year's lineup were three finalists from the First Annual Stadium of Fire Talent Search: The Whits, Eve Asplund, and Artie Hemphill And The Iron Horse Band. This year's winner, chosen by audience vote, was Artie Hemphill And The Iron Horse Band.
Stadium of Fire will be created and produced for the 8th consecutive year in 2012 by Baruch/Gayton Entertainment Group of Los Angeles California.
