Junior Old Boys Association

The Junior Old Boys Association was formed in 1999 by a group of 10 year old boys from Sri Sumangala College. The Junior Old Boys Association was formed with the guidance and blessings of former SSCOBA J. K. P. Asokarathne. Seniors accepted the formation of the Junior Old Boys’ Association and many constitutional links were formed between the two associations. Dinesh De Silva was the first President of the Junior Old Boys Association and Ranganath Pathinayake and Sugath Wijerathne were the first Joint Secretaries, while Sanjaya De Silva was the first treasurer.

Famous quotes containing the words junior, boys and/or association:

The junior senator from Wisconsin, by his reckless charges, has so preyed upon the fears and hatreds and prejudices of the American people that he has started a prairie fire which neither he nor anyone else may be able to control.
    J. William Fulbright (b. 1905)

The boys dressed themselves, hid their accoutrements, and went off grieving that there were no outlaws any more, and wondering what modern civilization could claim to have done to compensate for their loss. They said they would rather be outlaws a year in Sherwood Forest than President of the United States forever.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

It is not merely the likeness which is precious ... but the association and the sense of nearness involved in the thing ... the fact of the very shadow of the person lying there fixed forever! It is the very sanctification of portraits I think—and it is not at all monstrous in me to say ... that I would rather have such a memorial of one I dearly loved, than the noblest Artist’s work ever produced.
    Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806–1861)
