The city's current soccer team is called the Montreal Impact. The Montreal Impact joined MLS in 2012, the top tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. Also at the Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne plays the Laval Comets of the W-League, the second tier of women’s soccer in the United States and Canada.
