Famous quotes containing the words south, london, foundation and/or trust:

Even when seen from near, the olive shows
A hue of far away. Perhaps for this
The dove brought olive back, a tree which grows
Unearthly pale, which ever dims and dries,
And whose great thirst, exceeding all excess,
Teaches the South it is not paradise.
    Richard Wilbur (b. 1921)

I think this be the most villainous house in all London road for fleas.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

But I hate things all fiction ... there should always be some foundation of fact for the most airy fabric—and pure invention is but the talent of a liar.
    GGeorge Gordon Noel Byron (1788–1824)

Quotations—always inexact. I don’t trust people who cannot even copy out.
    Jean Rostand (1894–1977)
