South Dakota Public Broadcasting

South Dakota Public Broadcasting, or SDPB for short, is a state network of non-commercial educational television and radio stations serving the state of South Dakota. The stations are operated by the South Dakota Bureau of Information and Telecommunication, a state agency which holds the licenses for all of the Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio stations licensed in South Dakota except KCSD-FM in Sioux Falls, which is owned by the University of Sioux Falls and managed by the bureau. The studios and offices are located at 500 N. Dakota Avenue in the Allen Neuharth Media Center on the University of South Dakota campus in Vermillion, South Dakota.

Famous quotes containing the words south, public and/or broadcasting:

My course is a firm assertion and maintenance of the rights of the colored people of the South according to the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments, coupled with a readiness to recognize all Southern people, without regard to past political conduct, who will now go with me heartily and in good faith in support of these principles.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

This our life, exempt from public haunt,
Finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks,
Sermons in stones, and good in every thing.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

We spend all day broadcasting on the radio and TV telling people back home what’s happening here. And we learn what’s happening here by spending all day monitoring the radio and TV broadcasts from back home.
