Sood/Sud is, originally, a Rajput community but, traditionally, some gotras are merchants.And later with the influence of Guru Gobind Sing Ji converted to Sikhism. In India, they are mostly in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, and other areas of Northern India.
