Overview
The place is named after a Britisher called Sodam who carried out development works in the area. There are several Mango orchards near this place and people living here are mostly farmers and small traders. Since many years on every Friday these farmers and small traders attend Santha(a vegetable market/bazaar) where people sell/buy/exchange their local produce at cheap and affordable rates. There is an international school built up near this place in a village Gongivaripalli named The Peepal Grove School which happens to be a reputed one amongst the near by districts.
