SOCEMIE
SOCEMIE (Societé Opératrice de la Chaîne Européenne Multilingue d’Information Euronews) was the operating arm of the company behind the Pan-European news channel Euronews, with its headquarters in Lyon-Écully, France. In 2008 it merged with its publishing equivalent, the SECEMIE (Société éditrice de la chaîne multilingue d’information Euronews), to create Euronews SA. After having worked with the company since 1998, Michael Peters was appointed the CEO in 2011, replacing Philippe Cayla.
