Sponsorship
Each year, until 2012, the Racing Post Chase, a Grade 3 National Hunt horse race, was held at Kempton Park in late February and the Racing Post Trophy, a Group 1 flat horse race for 2-year-olds over a mile (1600m), is held at Doncaster in late October.
In 2012, The Racing Post sponsored the Grade 1 Arkle Challenge Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival for the first time. The race was previously sponsored by the Irish Independent. They later announced a further five-year sponsorship of the Grade 1 race until 2017,
In October 2012, The Racing Post added two more Cheltenham feature races at the Open meeting to its increased sponsorship at the home of jump racing taking over the Greatwood Hurdle, renaming the Grade 3 handicap hurdle as the Racing Post Hurdle, as well as reaffirming its commitment to the two-mile novice chase series 'Road to Cheltenham'.
