Famous quotes containing the words slip and/or tongue:

    Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side, come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines, with a monarch’s voice,
Cry “Havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    Her tongue from previous ecstasy
    Releases thoughts like little hats.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)
