Biographical Information
Prendergast was born 2 July 1930 in London to Norman and Elaine (Marks) Laski. Her maternal grandfather, Michael Marks, was founder of Marks & Spencer. She married Christopher Anthony Prendergast in 1959 and he died in 1998. One sister, Ann Esther Laski, married David R. Susman. Dame Simone died at the age of 82 on 11 August 2012.
