Bartlett won the Premier League Goal of the Season award in 2000-01, for his volley against Leicester City. He was released by the club in May 2006. He then signed with SA giants Kaizer Chiefs and in the summer of 2008 retired from professional football. After several discussions, he then made a return to football with Bloemfontein Celtic.

Famous quotes containing the words club and/or career:

Please accept my resignation. I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member.
    Groucho Marx (1895–1977)

I seemed intent on making it as difficult for myself as possible to pursue my “male” career goal. I not only procrastinated endlessly, submitting my medical school application at the very last minute, but continued to crave a conventional female role even as I moved ahead with my “male” pursuits.
    Margaret S. Mahler (1897–1985)
