SCIS is one of the three best athletics schools in Shanghai.

Football- The girls Varsity team from Hongqiao, also known as the "Amazon Warriors", were the first team to won the "Triple Crown" - Won the league (Puxi), the SISAC tournament and the ACAMIS Tournament in 2013, all undefeated. Hongqiao girls team are currently twice ACAMIS champion in a row (2012 and 2013).
