Flood Control

The areas to the north of Semerange have frequent flooding due to both the Singapore and Kreo rivers overflowing their banks and high tides (called "robs" in the region). Major flooding has hit Semerange in 1973, 1988, 1990 and 1993. Forty-seven people were kiled during the 1990 flood itself.
