The Seawind was originally designed in the early 1980s in Canada. Seawind kits were developed and sold by SNA Inc. of Kimberton, Pennsylvania, USA. Seawind LLC was formed to certify the Seawind design as a complete aircraft and market it as the Seawind 300C. The Seawind 300C factory is located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada.
