High School/college Years
Baker attended Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, and graduated in 2000. He was selected to the All-State team his senior year and played college baseball at Oklahoma State University. In the 2001 season, he was named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American. In the 2003 season, he was named second team All-Big 12.
