Famous quotes containing the words military and/or career:

Stately as a galleon, I sail across the floor,
Doing the military two-step, as in the days of yore.
    Joyce Grenfell (1910–1979)

Whether lawyer, politician or executive, the American who knows what’s good for his career seeks an institutional rather than an individual identity. He becomes the man from NBC or IBM. Lewis H. Lapham (b. 1935)
