Sangwan
Sangwan or sangwa is a clan or gotra of Jats found in Rajasthan, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh in India. The Sangwan clan is also settled in Punjab and Sindh in Pakistan.In Haryana bairagi caste also having the Sangwan gotra . The present name of Sangwan Gotra comes from Raja Sangram Singh (Sangu) who came to Charkhi Dadri area in Haryana from Ajmer in Rajasthan after a long war between old Kshatriya Jat Aryans and the newly formed Rajput Kingdoms of Rajasthan. Sangwan Jats are positive to people, to animals and helps others without persona interest. After independence in 1947, some sangwan jats moved to uttar pradesh villages and cities. Most of them continued farming as zamindars and some got engaged in business activities. Sangwan Jats have good interest to studies, specially to literature.
