Sandrew Metronome

Sandrew Metronome is a Scandinavian film distributor. It is one of the biggest distributor companies in the Nordic countries. It is owned by the Anders Sandrew Foundation and the Norwegian Schibsted group.

Sandrew Metronome was established in the 1920s by Anders Sandrew (1885–1957). The chain first only operated in the Stockholm area, but in the 1940s became nationwide.

The company has had numerous movie theatres around the Nordic countries. It has recently given up its movie theatre business, though, to be able to concentrate on distribution.

Sandrew Metronome is currently the Nordic distributor for films by Warner Bros., as they have been since the late 1990s. More recently, the company acquired Nordic rights for Focus Features.
