Sandcreek adjoins Hillcrest High School on the southern end of the city creating a middle school/high school campus. It is part of the Bonneville Joint School District #93. The school serves approximately 650 7th and 8th grade students from Ammon, Falls Valley, Hillview, TieBreaker, Centennial Ranch and McDonald's Farm subdivisions.

Built in the mid-1980s, when the school opened it was called South Bonneville Jr. High. There Mascot was the Hornet and school colors were black and white. At this time students from 7th, 8th and 9th grades attended the school. It was called South Bonneville because of the only High School in the district was Bonneville High School. Rocky Mountain was call North Bonneville Jr. In 1992 when Hillcrest was built and opened the name changed to Sandcreek Middle School and catered to students in 7th and 8th grades. North Bonneville changed their name to Rocky Mountain Middle School. The Hillcrest Class of 1997 was the last class to attend South Bonneville Jr. High. The first principal was Mr. Prince, and assistant principal Mr. Bird. Mr. Oswald, currently serves as principal, with Kent Sawyer as assistant principal. The school mascot is the dragon. The school colors are black and gold.
