Samata Angel

Samata Angel (born Samata Elizabeth Catherine Abudulai on 23 January) is a British-Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur, author and designer. Samata's Muse womenswear clothing label has been worn by the likes of Dawn Angeliqué Richard and Jennifer Lopez, with press to date including Vogue, Company, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Fashion United, Look Magazine (UK), Pride Magazine, ITN, London Lite, Fashion Africa, Red Magazine, The Daily Telegraph and Fashion Capital.

Samata went on to set up her own brand and came under the public eye when she made history by becoming the first British female to show during the Nolcha Fashion Week in New York and she has since gone on to become the Red Carpet Green Dress 2011 Best Dress Winner. As of December 2010 Samata became a member of Courvoisier's exclusive member only community, the Future 500. On 13 February 2011 was announced as the winner of Suzy Amis Cameron's Red Carpet Green Dress competition an international competition, benefiting MUSE School CA and MUSE Global, to create a dress made of sustainable materials.

Samata was flown to Los Angeles to have her own model walk the "red" (green) carpet at the Global Green pre-Oscar party on February 23 in Hollywood alongside Suzy Amis Cameron and Hollywood producer James Cameron Red Carpet Green Dress News announcement. In March 2011 Samata Angel was listed as one Red Magazine's "One to Watch: Top 20 women under the age of 30", alongside Technology and Digital Media Correspondent, UK Telegraph. On 28 March 2011 Samata Angel was invited to the launch of StartUp Britain by initiative co-founder Rajeeb Dey where she discussed her fashion industry journey and addressed the Prime Minister David Cameron, George Osbourne, Peter Jones (entrepreneur), Doug Richard, Vince Cable and an audience of MPs, entrepreneurs and media.

In May 2011 Samata Angel was announced as the Global Campaign Director of the Red Carpet Green Dress Competition which will run at the Oscars 2012.
