Salt Lake Dream

The Salt Lake Dream was an American Basketball Association (ABA) team in Salt Lake City. The team's inaugural season was slated to begin November 2006 as a member of the Red Conference (the western conference of the ABA). Home games were scheduled to be played in the Lifetime Activities Center on the Redwood Campus at Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville, Utah.

The Dream ceased operations before playing a single game, however, after a number of financial difficulties. It is the second Utah-based minor league basketball franchise to fold since January 2005, the other being a previous ABA incarnation - the Utah Snowbears.

I have a dream: in my dream ... Aretha Franklin, in her fabulous black-lipstick “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” outfit, leaps from her seat at Maxim’s and, shouting “Think!,” blasts Lacan, Derrida and Foucault like dishrags against the wall, then leads thousands of freed academic white slaves in a victory parade down the Champs-Elysées.
