On March 22, 2013, it was officially announced that Saints Row IV would be released by Deep Silver on August 20 in the United States and August 23 in the rest of the world. The game will be available for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The plot will involve the leader of the Saints being elected President of the United States, only to have the world invaded by aliens. The Saints leader is placed in a computer simulation of Steelport, where they will wield a variety of superpowers in their quest to escape.
