Sail Fin

SailFin is an open-source Java application server project led by Sun Microsystems. It implements the JCP SIP Servlet 1.1 (JSR 289) specification integrated with the open-source Java EE application server GlassFish.

SailFin effectively extends the GlassFish application server to meet the needs of communication and multimedia applications. By leveraging GlassFish as a basis, SailFin offers management, HA and clustering features along with the performance and scale to meet critical service-deployments.

SailFin, based on code donated to open source by Sun, Oracle Corporation, and Ericsson, was launched at Java ONE in May 2007. Sun also offers commercial support for SailFin under the product name "Sun GlassFish Communications Server".

Famous quotes containing the words sail and/or fin:

Senta: These boats, sir, what are they for?
Hamar: They are solar boats for Pharaoh to use after his death. They’re the means by which Pharaoh will journey across the skies with the sun, with the god Horus. Each day they will sail from east to west, and each night Pharaoh will return to the east by the river which runs underneath the earth.
    William Faulkner (1897–1962)

Since the fin has come a little early this siecle and anomie is all the rage, wry, dry tenderness is a suspect commodity.
    Angela Carter (1940–1992)
