Occupational Structure
In 1881 Saighton had a total population of 350 persons. The large majority of males at this time had occupations relating to Agriculture, where as the majority of females where servents. Other occupations included genral labrours and persons engaged in domestic offices or services. Over 60 persons occupations at this time are unknown.
