Dioceses
The metropolitan diocese has a senior position to four suffragan dioceses in the archdiocese (ecclesiatical province): Agen, Aire and Dax, Bayonne, and Périgueux and Sarlat. Formerly it included the abolished Diocese of Lescar. The metropolitan diocese itself comprises Gironde, Aquitaine.
