Sole Witness and Deciding Official For The TSA's Case Has Been Demoted Twice Since Firing Robert Mac

In March 2011, the Project On Government Oversight in Washington DC conducted an investigation and discovered that the senior manager who was the sole witness and deciding official has been demoted twice since he fired Robert MacLean. MacLean's deciding official, Frank Donzanti, went from the Special Agent in Charge of all TSA law enforcement operations in California and Hawaii to a non-supervisory position at a small airport.

Since February 2010, Donzanti has been under investigation by the TSA Office of Inspection and the U.S. Office of Special Counsel for sexual harassment and quid pro quo arrangement allegations.

Famous quotes containing the words case, firing, demoted, sole, official, deciding and/or witness:

I do not allow myself to be moved by anything except the law. If there has been a mistake in the law, or if I think there has been perjury or injustice, I will weigh the petition most carefully, but I do not permit myself to be moved by more harrowing details, and I try to treat each case as if I was reviewing it or hearing it for the first time from the bench.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)

The sight of a planet through a telescope is worth all the course on astronomy; the shock of the electric spark in the elbow, outvalues all the theories; the taste of the nitrous oxide, the firing of an artificial volcano, are better than volumes of chemistry.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

If there is a price to pay for the privilege of spending the early years of child rearing in the driver’s seat, it is our reluctance, our inability, to tolerate being demoted to the backseat. Spurred by our success in programming our children during the preschool years, we may find it difficult to forgo in later states the level of control that once afforded us so much satisfaction.
    Melinda M. Marshall (20th century)

To me the sole hope of human salvation lies in teaching Man to regard himself as an experiment in the realization of God, to regard his hands as God’s hand, his brain as God’s brain, his purpose as God’s purpose. He must regard God as a helpless Longing, which longed him into existence by its desperate need for an executive organ.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

... it is a rather curious thing to have to divide one’s life into personal and official compartments and temporarily put the personal side into its hidden compartment to be taken out again when one’s official duties are at an end.
    Eleanor Roosevelt (1884–1962)

Our passional nature not only lawfully may, but must, decide an option between propositions, whenever it is a genuine option that cannot by its nature be decided on intellectual grounds; for to say, under such circumstances, “Do not decide, but leave the question open,” is itself a passional decision—just like deciding yes or no—and is attended with the same risk of losing the truth.
    William James (1842–1910)

That the Jews assumed a right exclusively to the benefits of God will be a lasting witness against them & the same will it be against Christians.
    William Blake (1757–1827)
