He was named the 2007 Dirtsports Magazine Driver of the Year. He was named the 2007 BFGoodrich Tires Motorsports Person of the Year. Three time American Auto Racing Writers & Broadcasters Association AUTO RACING All-America FIRST Team.
MacCachren was induced in the Off-road Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2011.
