Notable Buildings
Ealing Hospital was re-built near the banks of the River Brent in the 1940s, on the same spot as the Victorian Ealing Dispensary.
Within the bounds of the site of Brent Lodge Park and the Churchfields there is a grade 2 listed stable block (it contains an animal centre) which is the only remains of the old manor house, which sadly burned down in the 1930s.
Unit 9 at River Brent Business Park, Trumpers Way was up for let as of April 2011. The property was a converted terrace house. There were no Land Registry records of this property selling since 1 January 1995, when the Land Registry records began.

Famous quotes containing the words notable and/or buildings:
“Every notable advance in technique or organization has to be paid for, and in most cases the debit is more or less equivalent to the credit. Except of course when its more than equivalent, as it has been with universal education, for example, or wireless, or these damned aeroplanes. In which case, of course, your progress is a step backwards and downwards.”
—Aldous Huxley (18941963)
“If the factory people outside the colleges live under the discipline of narrow means, the people inside live under almost every other kind of discipline except that of narrow meansfrom the fruity austerities of learning, through the iron rations of English gentlemanhood, down to the modest disadvantages of occupying cold stone buildings without central heating and having to cross two or three quadrangles to take a bath.”
—Margaret Halsey (b. 1910)
