Remakes
The series has spawned three remakes; a French version broadcast by TF1 entitled R.I.S, police scientifique and a German version broadcast by Sat.1 entitled R. I. S. – Die Sprache der Toten. Both remakes are close adaptations of the original, in many episodes simply moving plots to French or German locations and translating and adapting dialogue and character names into French or German. The most recent remake is the Spanish version broadcast by Telecinco, R.I.S. Científica.
