Post-playing Career
Wise was the pitching coach for the Lancaster Barnstormers in 2005, helping them to an Atlantic League championship in 2006. He was promoted to interim manager in July 2007 after the organization fired manager Frank Klebe. He returned to his duties as pitching coach after Von Hayes was named the new manager for 2008. After the 2008 season ended, Rick retired from coaching.
