Release and Promotion
Rebirth was first released on February 28, 2005 in Germany and the United Kingdom. It was released on March 1, 2005 by Epic Records in the United States and by Sony Entertainment in most other regions including Australia. To promote the album, Lopez performed on Good Morning America and several other television shows including the NRJ Awards of 2005. The signed copies of the album at the Virgin Megastore at Times Square on the day of Rebirth's release. She appeared on Hot 97's Full Frontal Hip Hop concert on March 3.
Prior to the release of Rebirth, Lopez (according to MTV News) said she was planning a tour (which would have been her first) to support the album,"I've tried to plan a tour so many times And we're planning it again. It's exciting. We'll see if it happens I've learned not to get my hopes up. I can't wait!" Lopez also added that she envisioned the tour as "Just me doing my thing." However, details for a tour were never unveiled and there subsequently was never one. Lopez toured seven years later, embarking on her Dance Again World Tour in 2012.

Famous quotes containing the words release and, release and/or promotion:
“We read poetry because the poets, like ourselves, have been haunted by the inescapable tyranny of time and death; have suffered the pain of loss, and the more wearing, continuous pain of frustration and failure; and have had moods of unlooked-for release and peace. They have known and watched in themselves and others.”
—Elizabeth Drew (18871965)
“As nature requires whirlwinds and cyclones to release its excessive force in a violent revolt against its own existence, so the spirit requires a demonic human being from time to time whose excessive strength rebels against the community of thought and the monotony of morality ... only by looking at those beyond its limits does humanity come to know its own utmost limits.”
—Stefan Zweig (18811942)
“I am asked if I would not be gratified if my friends would procure me promotion to a brigadier-generalship. My feeling is that I would rather be one of the good colonels than one of the poor generals. The colonel of a regiment has one of the most agreeable positions in the service, and one of the most useful. A good colonel makes a good regiment, is an axiom.”
—Rutherford Birchard Hayes (18221893)
