Formed Special interest clubs such as Ecology, Club Med, United Nations, Step Team, Crime Stoppers, Leo’s (in partnership with the Lions Club), FCA, College Club, Art, Class Executive Committees, Theater, Quill and Scroll, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Club, French Club, Diversity Club, Drama Team, and CIS are active at RHS.
- Academic competitions are offered in speech/debate, writing, history, math, science and many other academic subjects.
- An SAT/ACT preparation course is provided free of charge during the school day and on Saturdays.
- A partnership with the Dallas County Community Colleges promotes college preparation and includes courses that award credit at both the college and high school levels.
- Student leadership opportunities are available with the Student Council, Class Executive Committees, Peer Mediation, Crime Stoppers, PAACK, and our through the International Baccalaureate Programme.
- The school fields competitive athletic teams in volleyball, basketball, football, golf, tennis, track, cross country, baseball, softball, hockey and swimming/diving.
- The National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, Tri-M (Music) and Mu Alpha Theta (Math) honor societies are active on the campus.
- The class of 2008 earned $1.2 million in scholarships for post secondary educational opportunities.
- RHS earned full accreditation and an exemplary designation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
- RHS was approved to offer the prestigious IB Diploma Programme during 11th and 12th grades. RHS is also a candidate school for the IB Middle Years Programme to be offered in the 9th and 10th grades
