Personal Life
Rachana married her co-actor, Siddhanta Mahapatra at Cuttack in 2004, but later they divorced and she left the Oriya Film Industry. Currently she is married to Probal Basu and has a son, named Pronil Basu.
Apart from acting, she has also hosted the popular TV show Didi No. 1, which is aired in Zee Bangla on weekdays. On 5 April 2013 a fire had broken out in the studio of the Didi No. 1 at Tollygunge, and she had fainted following a panic attack, and was rushed to a city hospital (Aurobindo Seva Sadan) immediately.
