Environmental Philosophy

With key ecological benefits over shorter life cycle products such as laser and serial dot matrix printers, Printronix’s environmental charter includes developing its latest series of line matrix printers to meet ENERGY STAR® standards. All models of the TallyGenicom 6600 and P7000 cartridge series of line matrix printers are ENERGY STAR® qualified and provide 40 percent operational energy savings compared to laser printers.

Additional environmental advantages of line matrix printers include:

• Waste reduction;
• Accommodation for paper with high recycled content;
• Easy recycling of printed paper;
• Ozone reduction; and
• None of the fine particulate emitted that occur with laser toner cartridges.
