Famous quotes containing the words praise and, praise and/or religion:

The life which men praise and regard as successful is but one kind. Why should we exaggerate any one kind at the expense of the others?

    And praise our chosen man,
Stand upright on your legs awhile,
    Stand upright while you can,
For soon we lie where he is laid
    And he is underground....

    Amerigo Vespucci (1454–1512)
