Following Star TV, Mr. Schloss was managing director of ING Barings and head of its Asia Media, Internet and Technology Group from 1999 to 2001. His clients included a diverse and colorful group of characters including Clinton cronies James Riady, head of Lippo Bank and Jim Guy Tucker, the former Lieutenant Governor and then Governor of Arkansas. Mr. Schloss also represented American televangelist Pat Robertson in his China internet projects. Mr. Schloss has also served as a director of Mediavest Limited.
