Stereochemistry

Permethrin has four stereoisomers (two enantiomeric pairs), arising from the two stereocentres in the cyclopropane ring. The trans enantiomeric pair is known as transpermethrin.

  • (1S)-trans-acid moiety
  • one cis enantiomer
  • the other cis enantiomer
