Perins is a well performing school, achieving GCSE pass rates well above the national average. 72% of pupils obtained five or more GCSES grade C or above including maths and English in 2009, compared with the national average of 47.6%. In 2010, the school had an OFSTED inspection, when it was given outstanding status.
