Pelsall is part of the Aldridge-Brownhills Parilamentary constituency. At the 2010 general election, the seat was held by Richard Shepherd (Conservative) with a majority of 15,266 over Labour's Ashiq Hussain. The seat has been held by the Conservative Party since 3 May 1979.
