PAWA

Pan Am World Airways Dominicana was a Dominican airline based in Santo Domingo-Las Americas. It had some charter flights to other Caribbean islands and domestic destinations within the Dominican Republic, but the majority of flights were to Aguadilla, Venezuela, Aruba, Curazao and Punta Cana. It's a Dominican airline under Part 121 actually operating in the Dominican Republic, since May 2007.

PAWA Dominicana's hub was in Santo Domingo-Las Americas Intl Airport, where the airline operates and maintains their fleet.

Luis Muñoz Marín Airport was expected to become a secondary hub for PAWA Dominicana; however, the majority of the airline's flights operate into Aguadilla and connect through the Dominican Republic.

On June 4, 2010 the company was purchased by a group of airlines professionals led by Mrs. Mirtha Espada appointed as Company's President.

On February 2012 the airline ceased temporarily schedule services and maintain operating charter services.

On March 2012 the company appointed Mr. Hector Gomez President with the task of re-orienting the company, and also calling back again one of his former founder as part of the new organization.
