Paul Williams is a fictional character from the American CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. The role has been portrayed by actor Doug Davidson since May 19, 1978. The character of Paul has been a mainstay on the series for over 30 years. Much of Paul's history revolves around his detective career and his romances with Nikki Newman, Lauren Fenmore and Christine Blair.
