The nation's capital Bridgetown, which is located within the parish of Saint Michael, may one day be made into its own district. Within the country, travel is unrestricted to everyone in moving about from parish-to-parish. With the rise of urban sprawl and new construction projects across the country many neighbourhoods and even parishional border-lines today are ill defined.

Famous quotes containing the word today:
“This world crisis came about without women having anything to do with it. If the women of the world had not been excluded from world affairs, things today might have been different.”
—Alice Paul (18851977)
“In communist society, where nobody has one exclusive sphere of activity but each can become accomplished in any branch he wishes, society regulates the general production and thus makes it possible for me to do one thing today and another tomorrow, to hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, rear cattle in the evening, criticize after dinner, just as I have a mind, without ever becoming hunter, fisherman, shepherd or critic.”
—Karl Marx (18181883)
“... today we round out the first century of a professed republic, with woman figuratively representing freedomand yet all free, save woman.”
—Phoebe W. Couzins (18451913)
