Paramount Park

Paramount Park was a planned skyscraper in Park West, Miami, Florida. The building was approved by the City of Miami and the Federal Aviation Administration in 2006, and groundbreaking was expected to occur after Paramount Bay, the tower's sister complex, also in Miami, was completed in 2009. The project was cancelled due to financial reasons caused by the Great Recession. The site of the complex is at the northwest corner of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 7th Street. The tower would have been 756 ft (230 m) tall, and 68 stories. It would have ranked in the top 10 on the list of the Tallest Buildings in Miami.

Famous quotes containing the words paramount and/or park:

My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

Mrs. Mirvan says we are not to walk in [St. James’s] Park again next Sunday ... because there is better company in Kensington Gardens; but really, if you had seen how every body was dressed, you would not think that possible.
    Frances Burney (1752–1840)
