2012 and 2013 Competitions
The 2012 and 2013 Pan Celtic Competitions were held in Carlow. The main event, The International Song Contest, is represented by all 6 Celtic nations, who compete with newly composed songs written in a Celtic Language. Music and lyrics must both be newly composed for the competition, and the winner is judged on the music, lyrics and presentation. In both 2012 and 2013, the winner of this competition was Cornwall, with Benjad (Benjamin Larham from St. Austell) representing the nation. The 2014 festival is planned to be held in Derry, Northern Ireland.
