Opisthorchis Viverrini - Description

Description

The testes of an adult Opisthorchis viverrini are lobed in comparison of dendritic testes of Clonorchis sinensis.

The eggs of Opisthorchis viverrini are 30 × 12 μm in size and they are slightly narrower and more regularly ovoid than in Clonorchis sinensis. But eggs of Opisthorchis viverrini are visually indisgushiable in Kato technique smears from other eggs of flukes from other fluke family Heterophyidae.

The metacercariae of Opisthorchis viverrini are brownish, elliptical with two nearly equal-sized suckers: the oral sucker and the ventral sucker. They are 0.19-0.25 × 0.15-0.22 mm in size.

    He hath achieved a maid
    That paragons description and wild fame;
    One that excels the quirks of blazoning pens.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    An intentional object is given by a word or a phrase which gives a description under which.
    Gertrude Elizabeth Margaret Anscombe (b. 1919)

    Why does philosophy use concepts and why does faith use symbols if both try to express the same ultimate? The answer, of course, is that the relation to the ultimate is not the same in each case. The philosophical relation is in principle a detached description of the basic structure in which the ultimate manifests itself. The relation of faith is in principle an involved expression of concern about the meaning of the ultimate for the faithful.
    Paul Tillich (1886–1965)
