Opening Day Partners is a company that owns and operates independent baseball teams in the United States. Since 1982, Opening Day Partners have owned and operated its own Minor League Baseball teams, operated teams for other organizations, assisted in the sale and purchase of teams, and advised and consulted with international clients.
The Opening Day Partners formula has proven to be one of the most successful in professional sports. One of the several elements of the formula include the standardization of comfortable ballpark features such as hotel lobby-style box offices, more legroom for fans, padded seats, individual cupholders, 360-degree walkways, picnic areas able to accommodate 500 fans, and large playgrounds. The company was the first minor league baseball to implement 20-horse carousels and bumper boat attractions able to accommodate children and adults. Currently, the only minor league ballparks in the world that have the bumper boat attraction are Clipper Magazine Stadium and Regency Furniture Stadium.
Another element of the Opening Day Partners formula is an emphasis on philanthropy through various fundraisers, charity events, specialty jersey auctions, and children book-reading programs. Finally, the formula incorporates the local fans, ranging from the occasional to the hardcore, with fan fests, name-the-team contests, the incorporation of local companies and their products, and homages to each team's baseball and socio-geographic history. While many of these various elements of the formula are not unique to Opening Day Partners, the company is one of few that incorporate them to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for all fans and their families.

Famous quotes containing the words opening, day and/or partners:
“The Heavens. Once an object of superstition, awe and fear. Now a vast region for growing knowledge. The distance of Venus, the atmosphere of Mars, the size of Jupiter, and the speed of Mercury. All this and more we know. But their greatest mystery the heavens have kept a secret. What sort of life, if any, inhabits these other planets? Human life, like ours? Or life extremely lower in the scale. Or dangerously higher.”
—Richard Blake, and William Cameron Menzies. Narrator, Invaders from Mars, at the opening of the movie (1953)
“We construct a narrative for ourselves, and thats the thread that we follow from one day to the next. People who disintegrate as personalities are the ones who lose that thread.”
—Paul Auster (b. 1947)
“It is ultimately in employers best interests to have their employees families functioning smoothly. In the long run, children who misbehave because they are inadequately supervised or marital partners who disapprove of their spouses work situation are productivity problems. Just as work affects parents and children, parents and children affect the workplace by influencing the employed parents morale, absenteeism, and productivity.”
—Ann C. Crouter (20th century)
