Ontario Country Performer and Fan Association

The Ontario Country Performer and Fan Association (OCPFA) was founded in 2002 to support and promote country music in the province of Ontario.

The organization was founded on the believe that by bringing artists and fans closer together, the industry could be strengthened. Award shows highlighted this fan-artist relationship.

The OCPFA ceased to operate on January 31, 2007 following a vote from its board of directors.

Apart from cheese and tulips, the main product of the country is advocaat, a drink made from lawyers.
    Alan Coren (b. 1938)

Celebrity is a mask that eats into the face. As soon as one is aware of being “somebody,” to be watched and listened to with extra interest, input ceases, and the performer goes blind and deaf in his overanimation. One can either see or be seen.
    John Updike (b. 1932)

Anyone with any real blood in his or her ... veins cannot help being a fan ....Being a true American and being a fan are synonymous.
    Lulu Glaser (1874–1958)

In this great association we know no North, no South, no East, no West. This has been our pride for all these years. We have no political party. We never have inquired what anybody’s religion is. All we ever have asked is simply, “Do you believe in perfect equality for women?” This is the one article in our creed.
    Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906)
