Plot
After a secret agent is murdered, Miss Maxwell (Lois Maxwell) is sent out to find Miss Yashuko (Yachuco Yama), the agent's girlfriend who knows some valuable information. Maxwell soon discovers the woman in the care of a cosmetic surgeon and hypnotist known as Dr. Neil Connery, the brother of an important secret agent. Once in the custody of Miss Maxwell, Miss Yashuko is kidnapped at a medical conference in Monte Carlo. The kidnapping operation is coordinated by Maya Rafis (Daniela Bianchi), under the working orders of Mr. Thai (Adolfo Celi), also known as Beta, a member of terrorist organisation THANATOS. As a result, Commander Cunningham (Bernard Lee) of the secret service hires Connery to find Miss Tashuko.
In order to acquire information, Connery hypnotises a beautiful girl named Mildred (Agata Flori) and discovers that Miss Yashuko is located in a Spanish castle that belongs to her kidnapper Lotte Krayendorf (Anne-Marie NoƩ). After traveling to Spain, Connery manages to rescue Miss Yashuko and steal critical information leading him to discover THANATOS' plan to build a large magnet that will turn off all mechanical means from New York to Moscow. Connery also learns that the weapon is being assembled in a Moroccan rug factory in which all employees are blind. Suddenly, Miss Yashuko is murdered by Mildred before revealing any further information. Mildred is then killed by Juan (Franco Giacobini), a man who acts as an aide to Connery.
After arriving in Morocco, Connery is invited by Maya Rafis to a party held by Mr. Thai. During the reception, Connery discovers that Mr. Thai is planning on assassinating the head of THANATOS, known as Alpha (Anthony Dawson). Connery warns Maya about his discovery, which leads them to pursue the rug factory.
Upon entering the Moroccan rug factory, Connery comes to the realisation that the factory is really producing strands of uranium and that the employees are blind in order to not discover the dangerousness of their work. Together, Connery and Maya track the uranium shipment to Switzerland where Mr. Thai, having failed to assassinate the head of THANATOS, has driven the powerful magnet. Together, with the help of a team of Scottish archers (as firearms are rendered inoperative by the magnet), Connery and Maya decimate THANATOS. After the completion of the mission, Commander Cunningham comments to Connery, "Okay Connery, you were almost better than your brother."

Famous quotes containing the word plot:
“After I discovered the real life of mothers bore little resemblance to the plot outlined in most of the books and articles Id read, I started relying on the expert advice of other mothersespecially those with sons a few years older than mine. This great body of knowledge is essentially an oral history, because anyone engaged in motherhood on a daily basis has no time to write an advice book about it.”
—Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)
“The plot! The plot! What kind of plot could a poet possibly provide that is not surpassed by the thinking, feeling reader? Form alone is divine.”
—Franz Grillparzer (17911872)
“We have defined a story as a narrative of events arranged in their time-sequence. A plot is also a narrative of events, the emphasis falling on causality. The king died and then the queen died is a story. The king died, and then the queen died of grief is a plot. The time sequence is preserved, but the sense of causality overshadows it.”
—E.M. (Edward Morgan)
